Arsenal are preparing to launch a £120 million bid for AS Monaco forward, Kylian Mbappe according to reports.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the youngster with reports that Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Mbappe’s abilities and even visited the striker’s house last summer in a bid to convince him to join Arsenal which the youngster turned down to help Monaco to a successful outing in the Ligue 1 and Champions League.
Reports in French outlet, L’Equipe claim that Arsene Wenger has okayed an improved £120 million for Mbappe, having failed in their initial bid of £87million for the youngster.
This might come as good news for Arsenal faithfuls who had criticised the transfer efforts of their manager, Arsene Wenger in the last decade and even protested against his decision to renew his contract at the club. But there are strong indications that the Arsenal board has charged Wenger to re-invent himself and by so doing given him a sizeable transfer kitty to bring in players to bolster their squad next season.
Arsenal will have to beat the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United to the signing of Mbappe, with reports that the two clubs have also made intensive efforts to lure the youngsters to their respective clubs.
