Barcelona are one of the favourite clubs in the world, with lot of followership but showing off their strips in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia might attract a huge fine or 15 years imprisonment.
Reports in The Sun as sourced in Ole internacional claim that putting on a Barcelona jersey with the Qatar airways logo could attract a fine of £110,000 fine or 15 years in jail in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia due to the severed relationship between the duo arabian nations and Qatar.
It is understood that UAE and Saudi Arabia have severed ties with Qatar, over allegations that the oil-rich nation is funding armed terrorist groups. Although, Qatar have claimed that the allegations are baseless.
Several arab countries have also severed ties with Qatar stopping the Qatar airways from gaining access to their respective countries.
The Catalan giants are currently signed to a shirt sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways which is owned by the government of Qatar.
However, in 2016 Barcelona announced a new sponsorship deal with Japanese e-commerce firm, Rakuten which will begin at the start of next season.
