Scotland becomes key battleground in UK general election

It's just two days until British voters go to the polls again in nationwide elections. In Scotland, the pro-independence Scottish National Party - which won 56 out of 59 seats in the 2015 election - is facing a challenge from Theresa May's resurgent Conservative Party.

Dammy Krane’s Arrest: Don’t Define Him by One Mistake – Freeze

Following the arrest of Nigerian singer Dammy Krane in Miami, On Air Personality Freeze has called on the general public not to define the former by “one mistake.”
He made this known in an Instagram post on Monday. He wrote:
This gentleman is a good person. One of the most respectful young people I know. One mistake doesn’t define him.

The pressure on entertainers, especially the young ones is unimaginably enormous.
Born into a nation where money is king doesn’t help either.

Young people, please don’t bow to societal pressure to conform, be yourself, money is not the only currency you can spend so don’t engage in fraudulent activities to get it!

Understand the language of your talent, speak it well and your success will be televised.
Dammy Krane was arrested on Friday June 2, for alleged grand theft, credit card fraud and identity theft. He is currently being held in jail at the Miami Dade County Corrections as he waits to meet his bond requirements. He was arrested alongside one Ilochonwu Chukwuebuka, who has been released.
The family, on Monday, also released an official statement, saying that the “Amin” crooner was a victim of circumstances.

Chelsea Transfer News Live Updates: Boateng Enquiries, Bonucci Reunion, Lukaku Latest

CHELSEA are plotting some mega transfers this summer and Express Sport is on hand to bring you the latest gossip and breaking news.
CHELSEA TRANSFER NEWS LIVE
Tuesday June 6
7.45: Everton have told Chelsea to include Michy Batshuayi in any bid for Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea want to bring Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer as they prepare for a return to the Champions League.
Everton have priced Lukaku at £100m after signing him from Chelsea for £32m in 2014.
But now, according to Team Talk, the Toffees are keen to include the Belgian striker in the deal.
04:55: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly considers Eden Hazard’s injury blow an advantage in their summer pursuit.
Chelsea’s star forward is being chased for a world-record move, with Zinedine Zidane intent on capturing the 26-year-old.
Hazard’s ankle fracture though suffered on Sunday is set to keep him sidelined for between two and three months, delaying the Belgium international’s start to next season.
However, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Perez is now plotting to wait until as late as the last week in August to make his move.
The little time for negotiations is apparently seen as an opportunity, not a setback, to the Madrid chief, who would be in a stronger position financially when it comes to negotiations.
02:20: Chelsea now face competition not only from Manchester United but Bayern Munich too for Romelu Lukaku, reports claim.
The Everton hitman is a key target for the Blues this summer.
But he will prove costly as the Toffees are demanding £100m for the goalscorer’s services.
And Chelsea have further problems in their ongoing pursuit with Bundesliga giants Bayern joining the race, according to Manchester Evening News.
It is said the striker’s future will ‘soon be fixed’.
And Lukaku’s father, Roger, is apparently particularly receptive to a move to Bayern.
02:00: Antonio Conte is reportedly confident of sealing a reunion with Leonardo Bonucci.
Manchester City are keen on the Juventus star too with Pep Guardiola said to be a fan of the experienced Italy international.
However, Chelsea boss Conte knows Bonucci well from his time in Italy.
And according to The Sun, the Blues manager is determined to lure the defender to Stamford Bridge.
A four-year deal worth around £115,000 a week is apparently being prepared for the 30-year-old.
01:40: Chelsea have reportedly made initial enquiries over Jerome Boating.
The Bayern Munich centre-half is being considered as a potential option to strengthen Antonio Conte’s defence.
The Blues boss wants to bolster his backline ahead of Chelsea’s return to Champions League football.
And according to the Daily Mail, the Premier League champions have conducted early approaches for Germany international Boateng.
Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk is Chelsea’s No1 target but Liverpool appear to have won the battle for him, meaning alternatives are being looked at.

Finally!! Arsenal Ready To Launch Monstrous £120m Bid For World Class Forward

Arsenal are preparing to launch a £120 million bid for AS Monaco forward, Kylian Mbappe according to reports.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the youngster with reports that Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Mbappe’s abilities and even visited the striker’s house last summer in a bid to convince him to join Arsenal which the youngster turned down to help Monaco to a successful outing in the Ligue 1 and Champions League.
Reports in French outlet, L’Equipe claim that Arsene Wenger has okayed an improved £120 million for Mbappe, having failed in their initial bid of £87million for the youngster.
This might come as good news for Arsenal faithfuls who had criticised the transfer efforts of their manager, Arsene Wenger in the last decade and even protested against his decision to renew his contract at the club. But there are strong indications that the Arsenal board has charged Wenger to re-invent himself and by so doing given him a sizeable transfer kitty to bring in players to bolster their squad next season.
Arsenal will have to beat the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United to the signing of Mbappe, with reports that the two clubs have also made intensive efforts to lure the youngsters to their respective clubs.

Awww!! New Arsenal Signing Sead Kolasinac Pens Emotional Farewell To Schalke 04

Arsenal’s first summer signing, Sead Kolasinac, has bid an emotional farewell to Schalke 04, after he completed a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners announced the transfer on Tuesday.
Kolasinac will finalise the switch when his contract expires at the end of June and has said his goodbyes to the Bundesliga where he spent the last six years.
In a message posted on his Facebook page, the 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international wrote: “There has been a lot of discussion written and around lately,” his post began. “My contract with my friends at Schalke expires at the end of the month and I have spent many long sleepless nights in the last few months with the considerations on how to continue.
“Because, honestly, you’re amazing! As you have confessed to me in the last few years, it is indescribable! I thank you for that.
“In the last six years, starting from the Under-19s until today, I’ve become one of you. Anyone who once left his heart in the [club] will be a part of it and never forget this second home.
“As I said, I’ve been very torn in the last few months. But now I have decided and I owe it to you that you know it: I will continue my football career in London, at Arsenal. It hurts me to go away from Gelsenkirchen, but Arsenal and Arsene Wenger offer me the great chance to prove [myself].
“In the last winter, I have had many, many financial offers from large European clubs. I rejected everything then. I have always spoken with my club about it and finally [made a decision] as to how I should go on with my career.

Soon, iPhones will block texts while driving

Apple taking on Venmo, Boomerang with iOS 11

Soon, Apple will introduce a new iPhone feature that will do away with that annoying -- and dangerous -- urge to look at a text message while you're driving.

The feature, called "Do Not Disturb While Driving," will be part of Apple's iOS 11, a new version of the operating software for Apple mobile devices.
Whenever the phone is connected to a car using either Bluetooth or a cable, or if the car is moving, the phone will withhold any notifications for things like text messages or news updates.
If someone does text you while you're driving, the phone can respond with an automatic message telling them you're driving and can't respond just now.
The iPhone screen will also be locked to prevent drivers from using many of their apps while driving. Passengers who are just riding will have the ability to indicate that they are not driving and disable the feature.

Users will be able to see Apple Maps, Apple's navigation application, while driving -- though they will be unable to input destinations. Other navigation apps, like Google Maps, will also work, although not quite as easily.

Drivers will still be able to use Apple CarPlay, of course, in cars that are equipped with it. Apple CarPlay is a car interface specifically designed to allow drivers to hear and respond to text messages using voice commands and to safely use other iPhone features while driving. it's available from a number of automobile manufacturers, including General Motors (GM)Fiat Chrysler (FCAU), BMW and Honda (HMC), and works through a computer screen in the car.
Nissan has proposed adding a so-called Faraday cage to its cars. This would be a box built in to the car that would block radio transmissions of any kind from reaching the phone. That would be another way to prevent distracting texts while driving.

Paul Pogba: 'We played for the people who died'

Paul Pogba dedicated Manchester United's Europa League title triumph to the 22 people killed in Monday's attack in Manchester, defiantly saying: "We played for the people who died."
An emotional evening in Stockholm began on Wednesday with a moment of silence in memory of those killed at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena, before goals from Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan clinched a 2-0 victory over Ajax.
"These things are terrible all over the world, in London and in Paris. We went out focused to win and we won for Manchester and the country," Pogba, who was also playing at the Stade de France on the night of the November 2015 Paris attacks, told BT Sport.
"We played for England, we played for Manchester, and we played for the people who died."
United players wore black armbands while chants of "Manchester" rang out from their fans as reminders of the attack were everywhere at the Friends Arena in Sweden.

Victory enabled United to complete a sweep of European trophies - joining Juventus, Ajax, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea as the only clubs to have won the Champions League, the Europa League and the now defunct European Cup Winners' Cup.
Spain international Juan Mata expressed his delight at helping United land the only major trophy missing from the club's honours, but his thoughts were also primarily with those affected by the shocking events in Manchester.
"We have won a trophy the club has never won so we are really happy," said Mata.
"It means a lot as it is my first European trophy with United and after what happened yesterday it is nice to bring a trophy back for Manchester.
"It has been a really difficult week in the city of Manchester and we are happy to win for all the people that have suffered."
Chants of "Manchester" and "We'll Never Die" bellowed out from the English supporters before the match.
World record signing Pogba opened the scoring in the 18th minute as United won the ball after an Ajax throw-in, the Frenchman's shot taking a wicked deflection to wrong-foot goalkeeper Andre Onana and fly into the net.
Mkhitaryan then flicked the ball home early in the second half following a corner and with chants of "Manchester, Manchester" echoing around the stadium.
Ajax, fielding the youngest starting lineup in a European final, were expected to make a quick start as they did in their 4-1 win over Olympique Lyonnais in their semi-final first leg.
Instead the Dutch side was fenced in by United, nullified by Marouane Fellaini and man of the match Ander Herrera in the middle.
While the victory was celebrated, United's Manager Jose Mourinho put things into perspective: "We'd exchange the cup for attack victims' lives," he said.
